Stories That Inspire, Learning That Empowers! | 13 October 2026

Some stories deserve to be heard, and every child deserves the opportunity to learn independently. 💙

On 13 October 2026, Karna Vidya Foundation (KVF) celebrated two meaningful milestones at the Government Higher Secondary School for the Visually Impaired, Poonamallee.

📚 Celebrating Voices Through Vithaigalin Visai

KVF launched Vithaigalin Visai — a collection of stories written by visually impaired authors for the community. The book celebrates the creativity, experiences, and perspectives of visually impaired writers, reminding us that stories have the power to inspire, connect, and change perceptions.

🧮 Making Mathematics More Accessible

The event also witnessed the distribution of mathematics kits to visually impaired students, making learning more engaging, hands-on, and accessible. Students from 13 districts, accompanied by their parents, came together to participate in this special occasion. Their presence reflected the importance of inclusive education and the collective role of families and communities in supporting every child's learning journey.

At Karna Vidya Foundation, we believe that access to knowledge, the freedom to express, and the opportunity to learn independently are essential to true empowerment.

From celebrating the written word to making mathematics accessible, the day was a reminder that inclusion is not just about providing opportunities — it is about creating an environment where every individual can learn, create, and thrive.

Together, let us continue to nurture potential, celebrate talent, and make education accessible to all. 🌟

Let’s Imagine…..

Karna Vidya Foundation (KVF) has been working for over twenty-five years to empower persons with visual impairment through accessible education, assistive technology, skill development and employment.

We are very happy to share with you this month we conducted 3 days residential workshop "Lets imagine -a State-level Mathematics Learning Initiative for students with visual impairment for the academic year 2026–2027" ,in collaboration with B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed to be University).

The workshop aimed to strengthen the mathematical understanding through accessible, tactile and technology-enabled learning, helping students to develop spatial reasoning, analytical thinking, creativity, confidence and problem-solving skills.

A heartfelt thanks to BSA Crescent Institute of Science and Technology on behalf of Karna Vidya Foundation.
