Objectives:
Enhance Pedagogical Skills by equipping trainers with effective and inclusive teaching methodologies tailored for students with visual impairment across STEAM disciplines. Master Assistive Technologies by providing in depth knowledge and hands-on experience with a wide range of assistive devices and applications relevant to the education and daily living of individuals with visual impairment. Integrate Technological Advancements to enable trainers to stay updated with and effectively utilize recent technological advancements, including AI and accessible digital tools, in their teaching practices.
Distribution-cum-Orientation Program on computer operations for freshers and felicitation of children with Visual impairment for their contribution at curious minds, Science program, Conducted by Vividha Trust(Bangalore). This program was held on January 7th, 2023 at KVF Guindy centre.
Honour the STEM trainees who participated in the math and science exhibition of Vividha curious minds program. Distribute and orient the technology devices to ICT trainees to carry out academic routines.
This event was started on 11th August 2023 at 10 am for Job seeker with Visually Impaired who are pursuing their training at KVF training centre, Guindy, Chennai. It was conducted in 4 different modes such as Tamil reading, Tamil writing, English reading and writing. Assessment criteria was set appropriately. 18 Job seekers participated eagerly. Each one of them showed their skills in reading and writing through computer technology. Following this KVF trainers –evaluated the competition files based on the criteria. End of the day, the final results were announced for the participants.
On 12th August 2023, this competition event was started for school students. It was conducted in the 4 aforesaid different modes. Twelve students participated and show cased their talent in the competition. End of the day, the results were announced to the participants.
Discussions initiated for resuming Information Communication Technology Training for college students with visual impairment. Ten college going students participated in the training meet held at Sara Tucker College for Women, Tirunelveli.
Around 20 candidates participated in the Self-defence workshop for the Visually Impaired held at Karna Vidya Foundation, Guindy on 26th April 2023. The aim of the workshop was to teach the visually impaired to protect themselves in dangerous situations with the help of self-defence techniques.
Purpose of the meet was To illustrate the capabilities of Visually Impaired in the workplace. To understand the job roles and create employment opportunities in the workplace. To discuss the challenges and solutions for certain job roles.

Purpose of the workshop was To instill confidence to pursue education through mobile device to nurture an independent and accessible learning environment. Hands on experience was given to the participants on mobile operation with the help of external keyboard and without external keyboard. Illustrate and demonstrate the mobile Devices and applications for independent mobile operation to carry out academic and personal routines. Discussed the challenges and provide solution in carrying out academic routines through mobile device.

Purpose of the Orientation and Mobility workshop for the visually impaired was to To instill confidence to pursue education through technology to nurture an independent and accessible learning environment. Illustrate and Demonstrate the Devices and applications for independent mobility. Discuss the barrier in mobility and provide appropriate solutions for it.
This workshop was held at The Faculty of Disability Management and Special Education, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Coimbatore on 31st Jan 2023 to 1st Feb 2023 by Mr Sasikumar.
Eight students enrolled for the Data Entry Operator course were taken for an exposure visit to the Guindy National Park
Purpose of the event was to To provide hands on experience in event management role. To develop planning skill, coordination skills, presentation skills and team leading skills among the trainees. Share responsibilities to plan and complete the task. Work with common people to get the work done.
