As the Managing Trustee of Karna Vidya Foundation, I have witnessed, time and again, how the right support at the right time can transform the life of a visually impaired child.

For over 25 years, Karna Vidya has worked with a simple but powerful belief: no child should be left behind because of disability.

Through technology-enabled education, auditory learning methods, and dedicated mentoring, Wwe have helped hundreds of children move from dependence to confidence, and from exclusion to opportunity.

A small intervention—screen readers, accessible devices, trained teachers, or after-school support—can mean the difference between dropping out and dreaming big.

Today, many visually impaired children in government schools still struggle without access to basic learning tools, trained support, or assistive technology.

Our ongoing initiatives, including district-level model projects, are designed to create sustainable, scalable impact that can be replicated across regions.
