76th Independence Day Celebrations

76th Independence day celebrations were held at Karna Vidya Foundation, Guindy centre. Around 100 candidates participated in the celebrations which included students delivering speeches, singing songs and Chief guest addressing the gathering.

Reading and Writing Competition through Computer Technology

This event was started on 11th August 2023 at 10 am for Job seeker with Visually Impaired who are pursuing their training at KVF training centre, Guindy, Chennai. It was conducted in 4 different modes such as Tamil reading, Tamil writing, English reading and writing. Assessment criteria was set appropriately. 18 Job seekers participated eagerly. Each one of them showed their skills in reading and writing through computer technology. Following this KVF trainers –evaluated the competition files based on the criteria. End of the day, the final results were announced for the participants.

On 12th August 2023, this competition event was started for school students. It was conducted in the 4 aforesaid different modes. Twelve students participated and show cased their talent in the competition. End of the day, the results were announced to the participants.

Volunteer Networking for Accessible E-content Creation

Volunteer networking meet for creating accessible e-content and teaching STEM subjects for students with visual impairment was held at Guru Nanak Arts and Science College, Velachery, Chennai on 8th August 2023. Around 55 candidates including students and professors from BCA department of Guru Nanak College participated in the meet.

Objectives of this meet was to illustrate the capabilities of the Visually Impaired in handling technology for education and employment requirements. Request for volunteer support in creating accessible E-content and teaching STEM (Science, Technology, English, Mathematics) topics to the students with visual impairment. Demonstrated the Book share online library to the volunteers for a better understanding of the diverse formats of accessible E-content.
