It ceaselessly works with the motto: \u201dEmpowerment through Employment!\u201d It was initiated by Rotaract Club of Drishti and supported by Rotary Club of Madras Coramandal\u00a0 in the year 2013.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Team<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Centre is totally manned and managed by the visually impaired. There are professional trainers for specific subjects and they are monitored and led by a manager.<\/li>\n<li>A team of advisors help the centre to execute the courses in a better pattern that suit the need of the candidates. On the whole, KVF board governs all the proceedings of the centre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Mission and Vision<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing professional training courses for securing employability skillset required to get employed in IT and other prime departments.<\/li>\n<li>Endeavouring to build an accessible society all around the globe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Courses at a Glance<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Career Centric Computer Trainin (CCCT) \u2013 (Vocation based)<\/li>\n<li>Competitive Examination Preparatory Course (CEPC) \u2013 (Vocation based)<\/li>\n<li>Computer Office Automation Training (COAT) \u2013 (Computer Literacy based)<\/li>\n<li>Need Base Training \/ Work Place Sollution (NBT \/ WPS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DAISY<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Karna Vidya Technology Centre is a primary member of DAISY Forum of India (DFI).<\/p>\n<p>In order to bring in accessibility at all levels for the visually impaired, the centre is conducting Seminars, Workshops and other similar programmes. It is also involved in :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The conversion of both academic, non-academic and Competitive exam books into accessible DAISY (Digital Access Information System) format<\/li>\n<li>Scanning the printed books both in English and Tamil into accessible formats and given to students for inculcating independent learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2015, through the centre\u2019s recommendation, 50 Tamil Academic books, meant for Tamil graduation studies, were converted and uploaded in BookShare Website.
